The 34th Annual Historic Appomattox Railroad Festival enjoyed sunny weather and a record-setting crowd over the weekend of October 14th and 15th. Estimated attendance at 43,000-to-45,000 over the weekend, is the highest estimate in Railroad Festival history.

Approximately 140 entries participated in the traditional parade on Saturday morning, as standing-room-only crowds packed streets to witness the kickoff event.  The UDC float won the second place overall for the parade and received $125.00 for their general fund.
