The Appomattox Long Road Home the last of events took place April 10-12 2015. Appomattox UDC and CofC members along with other volunteers helped all week long getting ready for the event. Appomattox UDC and CofC members helped by assisting at the registration table and by greeting fellow re-enactors. The Appomattox United Daughters also presented and took part in a fashion show on Saturday. About twenty-five ladies, including five children were participants in the show. There was a wide variety of fashions from the basic work dress to a gown that would be worn to a ball. Also, during the show a model and her assistant showed what a proper lady would wear during the 1860s. After the fashion show the Appomattox UDC ladies served punch and cookies.
